One list for every student event in Zurich
Poly+Uni Agenda collects the public events of ETH and UZH student associations, Fachvereine and clubs, so you can see in one place what's on tonight, this week or this semester.
Why it exists
Zurich has hundreds of student clubs, and each one announces its events in its own place: a website, a Google Calendar, Instagram, a mailing list. Unless you follow all of them, you miss the party, the talk or the trip you would have loved.
The goal is simple: nobody should miss a good event again, and every club or group, however small, should reach the students who'd enjoy what it organises. The site is free, needs no account, sets no tracking cookies and loads fast on a phone.
Bring communities together
Zurich's students form countless small worlds: study programmes, nationality and language groups, sports teams, cultural and political associations, hobby circles. Each one mostly keeps to its own events, inside the same university as much as between ETH and UZH.
This site wants to open those worlds to each other. One list makes it easy to drop by another community's culture night, try a club you'd never have heard of or join an apéro where you know nobody yet. More exchange between communities of every kind, and more people meeting people they wouldn't have met otherwise: that's the heart of the project.
How it works
- 1Collected automaticallyEvery few hours, the site reads the public calendars and event pages of the clubs.
- 2Completed by youAnyone can submit an event, and clubs can connect their calendar once so their events appear on their own.
- 3Checked by handI review submissions and fix what the robots get wrong.
It's an independent student project, not an official ETH or UZH service. Each event links to its organiser, who has the final word on details.
Anyone can put an event here
You don't need to be an official club. A group of friends hosting a board-game night, a student starting a running group, a small association with no website: if it's public and open to students, it belongs here.
- No account, no sign-up: fill in one short form
- Add a poster or picture if you have one
- I check it and it's online, usually the same day
- Your event reaches students of both universities, not only your own circle
Who's behind it
Barthélémy Coquoz
Computer science student at ETH Zurich (D-INFK)
I built Poly+Uni Agenda in my free time because I kept hearing about great events the day after. I run it on my own and improve it with every message I get.
Write me, about anything
A question, an idea, a bug, something that annoys you: every message helps. For example:
- a club or an event that's missing, or a wrong date or place
- a feature you'd like, or something that doesn't work on your phone
- you run a club and want your events featured or your calendar connected
- you'd like to help, collaborate or just say hi
I read everything and usually reply within a day or two.
